Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Arca Mea (“we”, “us”) provides an app for tracking insurance policies. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under UK data-protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who is responsible for your data
[Legal entity name] is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@arcamea.app.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and authentication identifiers, used to create and secure your account.
- Policy records you enter — insurer name, type of cover, renewal dates, claims contact numbers, named parties and any notes you choose to add.
- Sharing information — the links between partner accounts and which records you have chosen to share.
- Device tokens — used solely to deliver the renewal reminders you ask for.
- Premium document vault — if you purchase it, document files are encrypted on your device before upload. We store only encrypted data we cannot read.
How we use it
We process your data to provide the service: storing your policy records, sending renewal reminders, enabling sharing between partners, and verifying purchases. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Lawful basis
We rely on performance of our contract with you to provide the core service, and on your consent for optional features such as push notifications. [Confirm and complete with your adviser, including any special-category handling.]
Where your data is held
Data is stored on infrastructure located in the United Kingdom (London region).
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your records from our systems.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from within the app, or contact us to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Sharing with others
We use trusted service providers (for example, cloud hosting and push-notification delivery) who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the date of the most recent change above.
